Y'know orbax i have to disagree with you on the whole idea of people just being rich and poor. Today's society is broken up into classes just like they always were, it's just that popular opinion likes to believe that we're above that nonense. For what you said originally when I say mass coommunication i mean any and everything that leads to information going any and everywhere. That includes media, internet, long distance communications and the like. And to at least try and answer your question about why we are (and i can only talk about americans) the way we are with regards to sex is because america was designed by prude protestant people and is mostly run by the descendants of the same group of prude protestants today (with ur occasional catholic making an appearance). This in conjunction with politicians trying to be elected on the basis of morals i think contributes to the overall charged feeling of the topic of sex. Basically the old prudes are being hypocrites in trying to bar sex from everyone. Most young people recognize this and say fuck you im gonna have sex if i want to. The corporations and such pick up on this just like they pick up on all trends and sell it back to everyone in the form of advertisements. BUt this is from an americans point of view, i have no idea about the rest of the world (im in idiot, sorry)
