its no secret. There is this one DVD i saw for a club and you see oakie step up from behind the decks and he has this really creepy grin on his face. He then raises his arms to do his signature jesus pose and hes like swaying side to side. He looked really really fucked.

Don't make me go find the "powdered milk moustache" pictures. Because I will do it.

WOW ... So little respect for Oakenfold on behalf on many TAs here ... SHAME ON YOU! So what that he isn't much of DJ lately. Give the man the respect and credit he deserves for bringing MANY THOUSANDS of people into trance like me. I guess few of TAs know that he has been spinning for many years now, from '86 that I can recall. He started off his career when DJ'ing was not a business yet, but fun, and not always including paychecks.

No DJ can remain the best and consistently successfull their whole life, that is, but if they dont have a life ...

For funk's sakes, the man has been one of the world's top DJs for the most of the 1990s, so live him alone for crying out loud, if you dont like him. Stop wasting your time bashing him on this thread and ...

spend more time supporting your favourite artists than crowding this stupid thread!

Amen. I enjoy oakenfold's work for the most part and I couldn't give two squirts a piss if he's taking coke or not. I suggest you all do the same

As for clubbers taking drugs the whole scene was built up around drugs without them allnighters probably wouldnt exist nearly everyone in clubs takes drugs u would be fighting a losing battle there with that opinion.

thats y i said IMO, i dont take drugs and i can stay up all night and all day just running on pure adrenaline, but that's just me, im not saying that the scene wasn't built around drugs, im just sayin that its not my cup of tea that's all

We all have a high amount of respect for old Oakie. And you're right that no DJ can remain the best for their entire life. However, there's a difference between not being as good as s/he used to be, and totally not giving a shit about it anymore.

The man has no respect to his fans

People pay big $$ to see him and he plays fucked up, its not a rumor, many people including myslef have seen him do it, before shows, after shows, never saw him do it during a set tho.

To be fair tho, last time he played he was sober

Yeah, he looked sober when I saw him back in April. He was still absolutely horrible, though.
