this thread should have been removed for such a title

however, Adambomb337, much respect for your positive attitude. But you have to keep in mind that a big number of members on this forum are signed artists and MANY MANY big name artists come from TA. So posting a thread with a title like "I'm Signed. I Are Teh Awesome" isn't really going to help you.

Instead, it's gonna generate some pretty negative opinions.

As for the song, I have nothing to say that hasn't already been said. Keep working, don't let the a record deal inflate your ego too much.

I'd rather have to try a bit harder for a label at Black Hole or Byte records than to sign for these guys. My advice would be to produce, produce, produce, produce, produce, produce, produce.... I once spent 30 hours a week producing for about 6 months and learnt so much!

Anyway, keep going as you are, musicaly it's not all that bad at all.

Check me out on the following link.

Word!

That is what I've been doing in the last 12 months, produce and produce and learn every time I make a new song, most of the older ones are crap, but by that time I was learning something I didn't know. I'm even considering remaking the ones that have a nice melody.

As for the track, didn't like this either, it feels sooo empty, and even more for the fact that I produce tracks that are really full.

Congrats for your signing, if that is true.

heh :P did you read my post about Christian labels? They'll sign anything that has a God-attitude. Bragging about signing to a Christian label is like bragging that your music got airplay on college radio... college radio has been known toplay utter crap (and obviously some good music, but there is very little to no criteria music has to meet to be on college radio).. I even heard a song made from armpit farts on the college radio.

trancevision - thanks for the feed back. I love that smily lol!

MK-S - thanks! I'll try that next time. For this song, I left out a lot of the percussion on purpose to give it a different feel.

gerrycueto - thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate it

Digital Aura - thanks bro! that means a lot! I'm glad you at least enjoyed some of it The hardcore people actually had a much better response to this track. I'm thinking of making a hardcore remix. I think the problem is that it barely crosses the line into trance...

oh shit? is this really a Christian label? No wonder they signed your music! You probably told them you were glorifying God in the process of making this track or how God showed you a revelation that you had to become a DJ to save millions of lost souls. And there were actually losing songs in this competition? What was the criteria to win? whoever loved Jesus more?

Seriously, you Christian dudes have to stop this crap! Just because the song was made with the intent to glorify the lord, doesnt mean your song is any good! This is exactly the kind of bullshit I was talking about in the last Christian track post. You guys are making yourselves look like morons! If you want people to take Christians seriously, it's about time you start acting more realistic, and start realizing this is crappy music and there is good music (even tho opinions and musical tastes slightly differ... facts are facts and a track that is produced well is notable from a poorly produced track).

If I were God and heard that you were trying to praise me with this shit, I'd strike a lightning bolt. You (and your label) are no better than Cain, from the Bible, who gave God the halfassed sacrifice.

I don't understand your extreme cynicism and faulty labeling...
I hope you have a better day...

EtherealSL - That's great there are so many professional producers here who are humble enough to help us newbs out! Thanks for the feedback and encouragement

PDM - thanks for the kind words. I gotta check out your music sometime when I can get on a faster connection

You're really hammering this in... I'm not bragging, and I'm not signed. It was a contest I won. There is a lack of chrisitans who produce music so you may be right about them signing almost anyone. I agree with your view on college radio too but you can get a lot of cool ideas from their creativity! You have to hand it to them for trying stuff that no one else would... maybe they'll come up with the next genre trend...

Well everything regarding the track I wanted to say has been said, plus I gave you a pretty quick review of what may have been left on page 3, so it's not like I'm a 100% cynical bastard. I just make observations. I know all Christian music doesn't suck.. that's why there's good bands like Relient K, Switchfoot, Krystal Meyers, ect... but most of it does. Most if it is well produced, but the themes talked about in the songs and the moronically superhappy fanfares make it totally unappealing to one who doesn't go to church. The above bands I mentioned who are good Christian bands don't have every song going "Jesus I love you... praise the name almighty... halleluja he is risen"... they talk about struggles of life, problems with society, solutions for society, how they found God, anything other than the same old crap you hear in church, not to mention how boring it is.

So if I came off as making a stereotype, then forgive me... but seriously this garbage has got to stop! It's making Christians look like mindless people with no lives what-so-ever.

As far as Christian electronic music goes, it's probably the worst out of all christian genres. Like I said in Digital Aura's post, there is no drive to produce quality. Anything with made in God's name, gets the deal.

I'm actually trying to offer you guys help here, I know I may come off rude, but I can't help noticing how lame Christians are becoming.

yeah that's a pretty powerful quote right there. it hits me hard, but makes me laugh at the same time.

In all seriousness, I heard the track as well, and I wasn't surprised. Just as previously stated, when someone puts up a title thread like that, it just screams "Look at me! I'm pro now! My track is GOOD, no if ands or butts about it!" But you did say you didn't intend on making it seem that way. Tip: Next time, just post up a simple thread, "New track, check it out guys". It somehow grabs more people's attention more so than "NEW TRACK! RECORD LABEL DEAL!", you know what I mean.

Although I never spend much time getting into flame wars, or even bothering (I see it as pointless sometimes), this one just caught my eye. My recommendation, keep producing, don't let this "label" get to your head, and as someone else stated, always keep progressing with your sound. Be diverse with your music, aim for different sounds, but the key is produce produce produce. If a label sees that you can't keep up with the times, and just sticking to the same old sounds, then how do you expect your music to sell? You have to be able to show the label different sides of your music and sound all the time. Well, heh, not THIS label you're signed with anyway, they seem to be accepting anything remotely related to christian belief, no matter how bad* it is :P.

There's nothing wrong with this tune. very good overalltrack!
But, it sounds a bit old. It could have been taken from an old ravemission or trancemaster(for example) from 1994 or 1995.

Keep it up!
