Nice pics!

Is The Beat 94.5 FM a sponsor or something? Since when do they ever play Paul Van Dyk? It seems like The Beat is displayed at all these EDM shows at Plush.

displayed, maybe. they had stuff parked outside. did they participate? as far as i could tell, hell no.

i saw a guy run around with a video camera for like 5 seconds, and all he did was film the attention..loving.. people in the cages. im pretty sure paul wasn't even there yet.

and they only play pete tong and radio one briefly becuase half his sets on radio 1 contain stuff they play occasionally on the beat anyways, from what i could tell from a few listens. but that's a different story.

i don't listen to the radio since i disabled the antenna on my car but perhaps the beat airs advertisements for some of the events?

Hmm...sounds like some kind of "arrangement" between The Beat and Plush. Let us "park" our stuff in, around and outside your club, especially during the EDM nights, and we won't...badmouth your club on-air.

he even used drum loops, i'm pretty sure of it, to do some of the transitions. i distinctly heard this one effect, the same kick, and this little growly vocal that if i remember right, said 'bass' or something like that quietly a few times, three different times during the night. excellent if he did, and even if he didn't, mixing was still great.
side ferry @ richard's on richard's.

It's interesting... I always thought he used Final Scratch too, and have seen him, and been close to his laptop many a time...

I saw him on Thursday in Vancouver, and again Friday here in Seattle... he was using Rane's Serato Scratch Live, not Final Scratch.

I was about 3 feet from the decks, front row center at Element in Seattle all Friday night, and saw it with my own eyes...

DoubleA

EDIT: Heh... I should probably read the full thread, as this isn't news anymore

great night, great tunes, good flow, excellent mixing. was pretty packed, which is great to see but harder to enjoy the event imo, but that's didn't get me down, still great night! wish g/f could have come. good meeting fishaa (mark) and getting to officially meet tiestofan (naz) and not-poster cameron.

Great Show. I love PvD everytime i see him. This was not his best but it was definetly good. Im glad Twisted brought him and im aware he takes a lot to book but i wish they wouldn't advertise things like "3 HOUR SET" and not even be close to that. That is completly unprofessional and in my world they call it a lie. But Twiste is Twisted. I would also like some respect to PvD from crappy clubs like Plush that turn the lights on at exactly 2 while one of the best tracks ever made is being played.

PS: Those people banging themselves into others is rude and idiotic. They can take themselves and their drugs outside and bang their heads into the wall out there for all i care. They should not be allowed to such events.
