Ok guys, excellent. I think we have enough members right now. And a great variety too, which is good cos we can all contribute our own little bit. I think we have the communication set up ok, except for the fact that we're in different timezones and are not online at the same time.

I think a site would give members the feeling that we're getting somewhere and we have something substantial going. A friend of mine is a graphical engeneer and can come up with a good logo to put on the site. But he needs a name for the alliance. Does anybody have any ideas as to a name for the alliance? If I ask him nicely he might even make a logo for each of us seperately, some of you already have one.

My ideas:
Force of Nature Music Productions
BitTrance Music Productions

I think we should just get the simple outline of the site down first and add things as we go along.

My ideas:
Sample bank
Song bank(per producer)
Forum
Links to usefull sites
Software sharing(Only freeware of course!)

Seeing as how a song is up to 3 MB just about(mp3), and we have 7 members, each might have a maximum of 20 songs we need about 420MB of free diskspace from somewhere or someone can host.

Sounds like a lot of work for our webmaster! Maybe we can pay him back in some way if he's still enthousiastic about the job.

Anyway, I think the site would really get us started.

Kind regard,

The Origin

Music is as universal to people as breathing. We've probably been at it since before we even started talking. Immaging two cavemen smashing away at a peace of flint to make a spearhead. It wouldn't take long for them to learn te synchronise the sound. And there you have it, the words first percussive band.

Music has survived wars, famines, the plague and many other things and has evolved with man across many cultures. Dance music is just the next step in the evolutionary chain. My guess is that it will probably be with us untill we are extinced.

Nice site man, really.

Could you change my name DjMorpheus to DownForce?
Used to work under this latest alias (it sounds better in my opinion).
Email is the same.

Hosting

Thanks for the hosting offer. But I have over a gig of space availible.

If people want to host their own songs, I can just link to them. I can also host songs at the site.

When we pick a name, I will set up the domain for us. BitTrance.com is free right now...

I authorized several people on MSM. Hopefuly I can get online when some of you are, too!

I will update dj names soon. I was up kinda late working on the site last night By the way, I used some templates from my hosting company, but I think it looks good! I need to work on the forums some more so they are more smooth to use. I will probably put a single password for all to use to get to the forum pages.

Loving it

Syk0, i'm ganna print a T-shirt with the text 'I am less of a man than Syk0'

I like the name BitTrance. A friend of mine is working on a logo right now. Once we have all the artist names of eveybody he might be able to make a logo for each of us seperately.

I really have the feeling we are getting somewhere now. It's been about a month of collecting members and but not really moving forward, but I think Syk0 has really kicked us into action with the site so far.

So far I think Ambia is the best producer in the aliance, I think some of us can learn a lot from him. Don't know if your signed Ambia but you should be.

No more members will be added to the alliance, sorry.

Kind regards,

Nick(The Origin)

I have a question... it's a neat idea to have an alliance of "not-so-good-yet" producers for the purpose of learning off of each other to get better... but then what happens when users start getting better?

"User X, you are becoming an AMAZING producer.... now get the f out!"
