I just had a thought though, and this could be pretty cool. If the drummers are really good, and he came off his beat, they could create a stutter beat too, and follow any of his mistakes, hence covering them. Might not be a bad idea at all. But if he's just recording in advance it doesn't matter anyway. Just want to add that pre-mixing a set, for live performances, is a disgrace IMO. I don't even like playing the same records, in the same order, for more than a set, let alone pre-recording. That takes all the live performance out of the live performance.

Ticket sales are not doing well for the LA TIC. If they don't pick up, they will have to cancel it or lower the prices.

But seriously:
You mean he'll just stand there watching the crowd, getting drunk, pimping on little girlies, doing his god pose and pretending to be busy with a fake plastic mixer while his prerecorded CD is playing or what? |
by saying that the music part is "finished" he meant that his "music" is already fine tuned, now hes going to the "next" level, by adding more to the "experience", by putting some more visuals. thats pretty much the only way to go, after I saw the tiesto in concert 2, it was very obvious that the visual effects were nothing special, nothing interesting, and pretty much nothing to see there, visually the concert sucks, just take out the music out of the picture and u'll see that there's nothing to see pretty much. just a bunch of cheesy lights flickering and thats it, the stage around tiesto isnt that much entertaining either, they could've done a lot more with that toy but i guess there wasnt that much time to prepare all that, since they only had pretty much only one month to put the whole thing together, and thats not really enough time to do everything u could possibly put into the concert. but the visuals of the concert definitely need to be polished a bit, hope that they do a good job with the next tiesto in concert in usa. I'm going to the Miami concert, we'll see what happens.
music wise tiesto pretty much outdone everything i have heard from any other dj, last time i saw tiesto at space in miami on march 2005 his "music" was something different from anything i have heard before, it was so....different? that i didnt really pick up his vibe at the moment, but realized about a month later what had taken place, i dont know how to explain it, his latest songs that he plays go to another level, specially with the union jack - two full moons and a trout (fred baker remix) and the joop - another world, its like a whole another kind of music, his whole set is on another level, even though the variety of the songs is pretty broad, there is something that prevails throughout the whole set, its like he maintains the same "note" the whole time. i dont mean the same "note" in the direct sense of the word, its a bit misleading to say the same "note", i think it would be better to say the same "vibe" or i dont know, u have to experience it yourself. its not evident on the tiesto in concert 2 though.
