And you only knock your resume down to one page if you're talking to a recruiter for a large corporation. For smaller businesses and work in the private sector, one and a half to two pages is perfectly acceptable. In fact, when applying for most public relations or marketing jobs, you're actually in the minority if you don't have a portfolio to hand over along with your resume... especially when you really get deep into the private sector. I know three people who work in marketing for Microsoft... and all of them have multi-page resumes and book-thick portfolios.
