It really doesn't really matter if you like Trance, Prog, both, or neither. James' set was something that transcended any particular genre and did what all good DJs should - which is forge new territory. When I go out, its nice to hear 'The Hits' that everyone recognizes, but ultimately I want to be taken down a path that I've never travelled before, and imo only a small fraction of the DJs out there do that - because its abstract, and hard, and only the truly gifted ones can do it - and James is one of them. All the analysis aside, I had a great time last night, and at the end of the experience, that's really all that matters.

FYI- I listen to all most all styles of EDM besides Trance.
What I liked most about James set was that he was pretty much makeing and remixing the tracks right there live!!! I know he can totlay play games with your minds. You have no idea what he is going to do next.
