One more thing before I dip out to Pittsburgh. I just wanted to share with you all something that Brianna wrote herself about the scene and what it one was and where it is now...and of course about the party tonight. She put alot of thought into this and it really is special. I myself wasn't around this area back in the day to experience what you guys once had but I knew about it. I got into the break beat scene in Florida while most of you were partying at "The Tunnel" or "Twilo." But I can remember all the stories I heard about those places and how awesome they were. It's time for the rebirth of NYC's club scene and for that to happen we've got to take it back down... down to the underground. So that is just what I am doing. A new journey starts this Friday night when I host my very first underground house party at Mission. Mission is a lounge on the lower east side where I am making it my mission to bring together the key elements of our beloved community; the music and the people. I already have the music. The DJs who will be spinning on Friday night are some of the freshest and finest talent NYC has to offer. They are the next generation, inspired by pioneers like our own Danny Tenaglia as well as our international founding fathers who once graced the decks at the world-renowned Twilo. And that takes care of the music so all I need now is you. Many of you know me from the monthly Future Progression Loft Parties in Brooklyn or from countless weekends at Arc & numerous other clubs or possibly from one of the message boards I frequent. Whatever the case may be, you do know me, and I know you. I sent you this email because you are among the group of people with whom I have shared the best times of my life. Whether you are a friend,a DJ or more likely both , you have impacted my life and I feel that you are one of the true believers in this scene. Eventful, to say the least. Bree, Joel and all involved in throwing this party you deserve a round of applause for dealing with those characters. Got kicked off (were we really that bad?) in favor of some hip-hop, ran over to Ruby and had a great time. Good....good tuneage played!
