Eventually reality will bring you back down.

Edit: On topic: why don't you just go on welfare so the rest of us will have to work harder to finance your lazy ass?

I think we need more European-style slacker dogma in this thread. Once every North American realizes that he or she is nothing more than a wage slave, we can finally throw off the shackles of this "live to work" mentality and become the communist utopia that the USA had to rescue during the Cold War!

[/sarcasm]

Seriously though, if you commit yourself to good financial planning and wise investments, you won't have to spend the rest of your life working your ass off (that is assuming you hate your job that much, some of us actually prefer the idea of making an honest contribution to society). Anybody here can become well-off with ambition and risk-taking, which I personally believe is a much more exciting lifestyle than a few extra weeks of legally-mandated vacation time.

LOL, that'll be in 8-10 years expect the minivan, maybe in 15!

I'm a workaholic myself. Since I've been doing the construction field for the past 2.5 years, I've established a fast pace work ethnic. I work @ a food store, for night shifts and using the face pace. I don't get tired at it. The pay is decent with a lot hours but I know for a fact that this won't be my career, that's what I think of at least. Anyhow, I've applied to a 3 year construction engineering technology course, which would suit my experience that I've learned.

Work sucks, I quit my job in june and have been a bum in the sun ever since, although I did save enough to coast for the summer.

vivid boy, congrats on doing something that you are good at! If you are looking for jobs with the homeless or in the homeless department all you have to is go downtown one day dressed as a homeless person and just sit there and people will put money in the cup - yes maybe panhandling - but toronto's homeless live really well and eat well too. I work at two homeless shelters and they get good service. But anyway, you could always go with the police officer in the underwear gig - who knows it may work out.
