sex offenders really dont have much privacy. releasing their address allows people in the area to be more aware of their presence, especially if you have children.

The address of sex offenders is usually published so neighbors are aware who is living in their vicinity. I think it would be illegal if your not a sex offender, but in this case, it's something they have to do.
