...It still is a good place to hang out and i think beats most of the places downtown, but the music appears to be a big problem. The owner hates "Techno" and thats all i play. I got hired for house music and played that during the openings, but now, i get requests like this 3 or 4 times a night. "Hey, can you play Golddigger by Kanye West". Give me a fucking break! The place has changed a little because people are now coming in expecting to hear hip hop, top 40, disco/funk, rock, 80s....stuff you would hear at Have a Nice Day Cafe (because thats where the owner originated from), so now, even if i sneak in a remix of coldplays speed of sound, or some harder tracks, the 'drunk' owner freaks out, kicks me off, mixes in Usher's - Yeah, and starts to sing along with Kareoke. Its very sad in my mind, but i'm still sticking with it, because i'm only there to pay off school. Hey, i get to walk around and drink for free and still get paid for it! :-) On the lighter side of things when he is not there, i can get away with it, and on some very rare nights you might here some 'Lethal Industry' etc. So its a lottery if you come in, but worth it because all of these events in chicago will be popping up very very soon :-)
