what i would do (had i cddjs) is play all the more popular/easier to find stuff on mp3...and just grab vinyl of the more obscure unknown tracks.

alot of stuff you just can't find on mp3, like all my glorious white labels!

So many unreleased tracks on cd that you have to play it. That was the reason I started to convert some of my play to cd. Now I have two cdj800s, which gives me a lot of flexibility.

i enjoy the hunt for a rare track on vinyl. anyone can get the fuckin mp3 and play the damn thing. i prefer to flip through hundreds of records at amoeba to find that one gem ive been lookin for for a while, rather than downloading it. thats my 2 centavos.

The next generation of CD players will all have full mp3 support, so the DJ of (say) 5 years from now, will simply carry a 500GB/1TB FW Drive (along with a back up) and patch it into the club's CDJs. No CDs to burn, no Vinyl to schlep around or get scratched. This will be the norm in a few years as soon as the technology becomes widespread.
