Whatever floats your boat.

Ah yes, where would he be without his butt-buddy? Do you plan to kiss his ass every chance you get?

A lot of people have pointed out my supposed lack of knowledge on this subject and all I've really done is loosly relate it to the 2000 presidential election fiasco in the United States. I haven't said anything that would give any sort of idea of how far my knowledge of the German governmental system extends. So if you want to talk about lack of knowledge lets talk about jumping to accusations.

In 2000 there was an election in the United States where the two canidates both claimed victory. In Germany there is an election where both canidates claim victory. I submit the title of the article: " both claim victory in German vote"

That is my relation. I laugh at Germans. Ha Ha. Have a nice day.

Well, yeah, but you missed out on one detail, and that is that neither of the candidates in German elections attempted to steal the election or to form the minority government by themselves. But they can still form the government with coalition partners. In the US it was a totally different thing with the miscounts of the votes in Florida. So really, your analogy doesn't really stand.

I must admit that I cannot tell you that, since I really am nore sure. I have not informed myself about the differences between CDU and FDP, since I was predispositioned to vote for the FDP anyway. I looked at their program, realized that they had a pretty good standpoint on most issues that I am concerned about and therefore gave them my vote.

I would say that the FDP is more radically liberal than the CDU. The FDP made a clear point on their website that they wanted to simplify the government and remove bureaucracy whereever possible.

Also it's sad to see that Merkel was punnished for the flat tax proposal, such a great proposal but what could one expect in a democracy?
I'd be all for that, seeing that I am going to be in the top tax bracket in germany. However I can understand that people do not like that, which is why I think the FDP's 15-20-25 solution was a better idea.
