I would definitely agree with you there... that if it's a term of your contract, you dont have a right to violate it!!

But I got to thinking, what if I as an loan officer or president of a company or as a lowly McDonald's employee, whut if it was stipulated in my employment contract that I was NOT ABLE to ever do illegal drugs.

Can they fairly ask that of me (assuming of course my recreational drugs habits on the weekend do not impact on my performance while at work during the week).... I'm interested to see what ppl feel about say doing drugs in such a case.

Many companies have random drug testing policies.... airline pilots, truck drivers and other trades have them in place so they can terminate you justly if you're a drug user. Fair enough if you are operating heavy machinery or have lives in your care. I don't think wall street is gonna care if joe blow trader had a party on the weekend, but you have to check the fine print of your hiring contract to make sure you can't be fired for partying!

they can keep there bullshit moral explanation...if that's TRULY their position, they'd have suspended/dumped her as soon as the story was confirmed, not a day later after realizing how hypocritical they appeared.
