Hi... you´ve got the ASOT sound pretty well captured...congrats! Very nice production and the main melody is beautiful. This could be released but the competition in this kind of trance is really tough, you´ve got to stand out from the crowd somehow!! Good luck anyway...

Best regards, Lakeus

i think asot is nowhere near these kind of sounds for about 1.5 years now, its all tech and prog. Really liking this tune, indeed robert nickson influences. Nothing original to be found in this tune but i like it a lot nonetheless, especially the intro, i think the main melody and synth arent catchy enough.

this track is sounding very solid, and i pretty much love it until 1:51 where it sounds a bit too much like "oceanlab - satellite" to my ears (some might say "robert nickson - spiral") the main melody is sounding pretty much alike too ^

im not sure what the bitrate is on SoundClick ? the hi-fi version sounds like 128kb/s i'd say, so if it's 192k maybe it needs a bit of 'clearing up' the sound.

great job otherwise uve got some great structure and synths going in this one !

Thanks Static for the comment. Glad you think it is a solid track even though it reminds of Satellite (still not happy with that because I do not like that track haha) Regarding the bitrate at Soundclick it encodes every file into a 128 kb/s so therefore it does not sounds as good as the original 320. The original has a lot more bass and low frequencies in it. I also do not like the way Elevate sounds through Soundclick.

Stino (uplifting trance is hard to be very original these days I'l agree on that ), Lakeus and Thoughtless thanks mates! Very nice to read your positive notes

commenting as I'm listening.

Nice intro. Nice FX in the beginning.
The atmosphere is kinda dark in the beginning but then the melody of the tune is very happy and ... uhm... uplifting I guess :P
The sound quality is just great, can't find any flaws in your mastering so far. Every element is in its place and the mix seems very clean to me.
That breakdown came kinda predictable. Although I have to say I completely dig those flangered pads. Very nice! I'd make the breakdown a little more surprising however.
the lead sounds a little metallic now. I know tastes differ but I'd make it more organic somehow

Anyway, a very nice and well made tune, but I'm definately missing the originality in this a little.
This way it's 8/10 for perfect execution but a lack of own identity. Get your own signature to your tunes. I know you have the skills to make a real original kickass trance tune.

Thanks Cybernetica for the nice review. I think you have made a good point about the identity thing. Even though I think this is my most smooth and technically best track I also think it pretty much sounds generic. Still however an 8 out of 10 is not bad

Thanks again mate! Glad you like the track overall!

I like this one, but there's just something about that bass-sound you use in the bassline... Don't like it at all... Sounds false. Sounds like you've panned some of the bassline-notes to the left, and some to the right. Heh, the low ones to the right, and the high ones to the left... Very annoying Still, this track has got some beautiful melodies and I especially liked the break.
