New tougher steroids policy enacted today. 50-game suspension for 1st positive test, 100-game suspension for 2nd test and lifetime ban for third positive test.
I dunno, i think it's a bit excessive. Congratulations to Pujols for winning the NL MVP

gagging in the clutch must have been a factor with the AL MVP race this year

wah wah wah...you just don't like because you're a dead sox fan. Who cares about the MVP anyway...I'm sure Arod would rather have Ortiz's WS ring. That's what matters.

that may be true but what did A Rod do in the post season when it really mattered?
NOTHING...2 hits, 0 RBI, a .133 average in 15 at bats
they better have a good reason (or a rule I do not know about) to voting him in such as not counting the post season stats...
/just sayin

A-Rod may not have done anything spectacular in the post-season but it was during regular season that clinched his win for the MVP, helping the Yankees move past the Red Sox and win the AL East division, securing their spot in the playoffs.

The voting takes place the day after the regular season ends. Playoffs have nothing to do with it.
And the MVP awards are not that bad. It's the Cy Youngs this year that are absolutely a joke. All of these awards, though, are stupid. And 90% of the vote comes from morons who think that wins are more important than any other stat for a pitcher.

Mike Cameron traded to the Padres for Xavier Nady.
Meh. Nady's okay. They may trade him though. Of course, this is all dependent on Cameron passing a physical... mainly, the eye exam.

Giving up a great glove for someone with a bit more pop in their bat,not a great trade but they have made worse

Actually, I'm starting to really like this trade. I have my doubts about whether or not he'll be traded. I hope not. He has a lot of power. Probably up their with the best in terms of "raw power." He destroys lefties. He's 28, as opposed to Cammy being 33. He has a ton of potential. He can spell Floyd against lefites. Or be used in a platoon with Jacobs at first base. If the Mets somehow get Jeff Kent for 2B, Nady could be used everyday in RF... Also, $7M for Cammy compared to <$1M for X.
I like this deal. But I will also be at Shea for the first game against the Padres to give Cameron a very warm welcome. Never got to after "The Collision."
