yeah i know...i agree with you too, but the whole point of the comparison is that you feel that way because of the social construction. you only feel as though you couldn't do that because you have been raised to think that's not normal and wrong. if there was a different social emphasis placed on body image and the sanctity of sex, then we'd do it a lot more and with a lot of different people.

and of course STD's don't help hehe...

Not that my tally is even close to 100, but I still don't get the problem. Let's say you start having set at 15-16 years old. If you have sex with one different partner each month on average, you'll be over 100 by the time you're 25.

Personally, I'm not a huge fan of STDs, so I've always tried to keep things fairly monogamous, but I can definitely see how someone would get those sort of numbers. I remember guys and girls from college that were sleeping with 20-30 people a year, easily. One kid on my floor literally had a new girl every weekend, sometimes two or three depending on how often he went out. He had a bit of an issue, though, and would literally screw anything. It was a bit sad because some of the girls that he brought back were pretty hot. Then they realized how much his personality sucked.

lol no seriously, i have slept with a few people who i definitely think, "wtf!" when i look back, but i mean they were all people i was involved with...like dating or a serious bf...i can't imagine sleeping with someone new each weekend. i really need intense intimacy. i'm an obsessive psycho bitch. my boyfriend loves it though. it's romantic. i tell him if he ever leaves me i'm going to kill him at school in front of everyone and then kill myself. then he tells me that if i leave him he'll run out in front of a train with pictures of me taped to his body.
