I'm guessign a man that was caught doing that to a woman would've gotten (in America) two years in jail, plus he would have been a registered sex offender for at least 7 years. If the prosecutor proved that this wasn't consensual and that she took advantage of him in his sleep and possibly drunk state, she should get the same.
I believe she got less because men are seen as always wanting sex, whereas woman are seen as not, though these attitudes are changing. I hear alot about equal rights for sexes, but I think this was a pretty skewed judgement. If they wanted to make an example out of her, they would've hit her with somethjing harsher; this is rape.
That said, I wouldn't mind waking up to a blowjob, as long as the chick was moderately attractive and I wasn't in a relationship. As someone else said, the "victim" is probably just putting on a show for his fiancee.

Within the last 2 years, they enacted a date rape law here. The law basically says that if you share a sex act with somone and they're drunk or otherwise impaired, you can be charged with rape. A friend of mine got put in jail with this law and he has to register for 15 years as a sex offender. This can not only be problematic with neighbors, but can prevent you from getting a job, a place to live, and credit. He met a girl at the bar, they were both smashed, they went back to her place and fucked. The next morning, she woke up, had reservations, and called the cops.
Nevermind that he was also drunk. Never mind that I and several others, including a friend of the girl, saw her all over him that night too. Nevermind that she intiated conversation with him , bought him drinks, and invited him into her apartment. He is the one that got the 6 months in jail, the 1000 dollars in fines, the 1000 dollars in restitution to the girl, community service and the dreaded sex offender label. So pardon me if Im a little jaded about this situation

Columbus, OH. Ohio State was having a big problem my freshman year with this kind of "date rape" so the state legislature passed the law.
He did attempt to press charges, but the police basically said he had no case. It was our word against theirs (several of her friends testified he was feeding her heavy drinks) and they cautioned him that if the judge or jury found against him, she would be able to sue him for even more. Additionally, the prosecutor said he wouldn't try the case unless he was forced to, so he decided just to say fuck it and learn his lesson. I don't know the whole story...there may have been more exchanges, but thats the basic gist, as I understand it.
