Great driving beats & bassline combo as always, just can't get enough of that full sound.

About the FX, they are cool, but not as glued into the track as in "the clearing". The FX wheren't that much on the foreground as here, and i guess i personally like it that way, i like it when they blend.

About the Break, nice choir/string combo, but in opposition to "the clearing" there are no FX during the strings only break and the plucks come in way more agressive and sudden, imho : think you could have gotten more out of the break section.

Your a procution machine - always pristine quality in your tracks.
Only feel as if this track was made with less attention to detail than "the clearing" which kicked arse.

Subtle: I know uplifting trance can sometimes lean very close to cheese (which is often a more dance oriented thing though I think); though what in gods name is 'VST trance'?

It's a very cool tune, But I didn't like the melody, The build up is very good.

Pretty average production (melody wise) to me, the intro and the breakdow were pretty good, but such build up were announcing me a better climax than the one you did in this.

As for the sound pretty clean as usual.

"As for the VST Trance" term, I think he referred to trance made with software only not as it was a genre.

Vst trance. Hmmzz I remember Armin van Buuren planned to work mainly with VST's on his latest album or so he said in an interview. I guess Icone must be a pretty big player to get threads like these.

He asked us for feedback on the track not on the genre. Uplifting trance is not another word for cheesy trance productions either.

I am not trying to Defend Icone here because I already posted that I think his track was not as good as I had expected (still pretty good but compared to the standards he has set for himself) it was a bit disappointing.

However let's just stick to his track and judge him on what he does with it in a constructive way. If you hate it or want him to change his whole style you can also choose to leave this thread alone

And Ricky M has an intresting idea. Icone do you feel like travelling to Kenya with us and make record some original farts and animal sounds and then layer them in a collab of us?

i always know an icone track from another.

i always know a m.i.k.e track from another.

tiesto's productions all have the same sort of sound, as do ferry corstens etc.

once you get to a certain point you are obviously gonna have a 'signature sound' - i think people saying the track sounds just like all his others are being unprofessional. and acting in the same way as a rock fan saying that all 'dance' music is the same.

i felt that this recent track from icone was great. especially the bassline. it gave me an idea how my next tracks bassline will go.

i thought it was one of the most original basslines i have heared recently. and for a bassline to stay in someones head it has to be original.

this is better than 'astra' imo. and far more up to date sound wise.

Disappointing to see another of Wim's threads degrade into a stupid argument.

I think what many people are failing to recognize is that Wim is probably one of the most consistent producers in the trance scene at the moment. I don't think he's done a track that has gotten a resounding 'bad' vote. When it comes down to it, it's all opinion, and Wim is just getting more promotion out of the deal, so good for him.

Anyway, now to the track. As usual it's amazing production quality. The basslines are all so sharp sounding. I personally would have only done the first breakdown in this track, as it tends to make the track feel longer than it is. Your percussion is very gentle but driving, and there are some very cool subtle effects. This isn't a track I'll have on repeat for weeks at a time, but another very solid production.

Keep it up man.
