Absolutely typical. For all the times that British teams have gone to Turkey, or lets not forget Spain, and there are problems with racist chanting, things being thrown onto the pitch, and nothing is done about it apart from a measly little fine. Then step up Switzerland. Now from what I saw of the footage, the players were being targetted all game from fans. Not unusual to say the least for Turkey. Now when running off the pitch I saw a swiss player kick the Turkish assistant manager, and continue running, and then from this, I think Alpay ran into the tunnel and started a fight with two players, twatting one of them on the floor. Then a big brawl broke out with one Swiss player taken to hospital with internal bleeding.
Now we cant say we wouldnt have expected Turkey to go so low and do something like this. Sepp Blatter I think it Swiss, so what a suprise that as soon as it happens to his home nation, all off a sudden, he has to deal with the issue straight away. Although I agree with him, it shows exactly what is wrong with FIFA when he is head of it. He's an idiot, and its ashame that he will be applauded for doing the right thing whn he has continually bashed England and our fans when we have done nothing compared to the Turks.
In my opinion. The players involved in the clash should serve a 5 match international ban. Turkey should be forced to play all qualifying games when qualifying for the next world cup behind doors.
