Now, pretend you are Miss Tessmacher, and I'm Lex, and you just said this to me now. Instead of looking at my watch, I look at Madonna and Crazy Frog and ASOT.

*shakes head*

(holy shit, that was a pretty long reach for a convoluted analogy)

So your saying that Crazy Frog is going to nuke G&D and that you are genuinely sad about this? Think carefully, because this would imply that you actually liked them.

Give them Fragma or Lasgo. That get's people into Trance.
I have friends who like trance but won't listen to it because it's not what they hear on the radio. In other words if it aint "IN" then they won't listen to it. I gave up trying to introduce EDM to other people. If they're happy with their top 40 and hip hop so be it.

Some how I've convinced some of my friends into EDM. We often got rides to the local skatepark (I rollerblade/fruitboot) and I usually would play some breaks & DnB (stuff like Clubbed to Death and Pendulum). They asked what songs those were and it all started from there. Now I got one friend hooked on DnB, another on "As the Rush Comes" & GMS - Juice, another who likes chillout and another on trance... ok mostly Tiesto.
Also when anybody comes to my house they are usually bombarded with some form of EDM. And because of that, my Dad and Brother both like EDM.

Basically if you want to get people into EDM (assuming that these people are hip-hop lovers)

Breaks (Clubbed to death works the best)---> Chillout (Anything by Ooze is good) ---> DnB (PENDULUM!!!) ---> Trance and Goa/Psy (This means Tiesto, GMS, Astral Projection, PVD... you get the point).

You just don't introduce trance to someone.

introduce him to prog, breaks, and electro.

I've learned a lot yet, want to thank you all for your advice and opinions But I never intended to force anyone into Trance, I'll just ask them to listen to some tracks or maybe a liveset. And show them some photo's from crowdy party's I've been. (incl. lasershow) If they don't seem to like it... wouldn't make a problem out of it. Maybe it's just because I want them to know what kind of party's I like...

and thx for backking me up Synthesia
