Sander still has it.
When he wants to throw down a vicious set, he still can, and last night was just another reminder of that. His set reminded me of when I heard him at stereo, but the actual audio experience cannot be compared due to the different sound systems. Sydney Blu and Copeland both were great as well, as Graham pointed out, Cozo DJs don't know what half speed is, so the front room was bangin right from the get-go.
I waited as long as I could for room to clear out so I could get on the dancefloor and really get going, but the crowd was a very late leaving one by system's standards and I bailed after trying to wait it out in the front room [where there were too many people buzzing around the coat check line to let loose], and the lounge area, [where the only open space was right by the door to the front room causing nasty sounds clashes]. Ended up leaving at 5:30 or so, because there's only so much standing still you can take before becoming exausted. If the music wasn't so good I would have left much earlier than I did.
All in all:
Music was great
Place was RAMMED, so I couldn't dance
Crowd was pushy
