I'm voting for Belinda Stronach... plain and simple, no better choice in my region. No matter which party she's with, like it or not. |
Thats the dumbest thing ive ever heard. I held my nose and voted for her last time because i wanted the conservatives in power. Then she double crossed me and everyone in this riding by putting her own ambitions ahead of her constituents. At the very least she could have sat as an independent if not call a by-election.
I said it in the last election when she was a conservative and ill say it again. Shes a dumb twit that cant answer any question that she hasnt been coached on. Just watch the upcoming local debates if you want to see what im talking about.
Thank god belinda is not a conservative because now i can vote without feeling guilty.

Did you hear that the Conservative Party has deemed that riding to be unwinnable and therefore have decided not to invest any party money there? I couldn't believe it when I heard it. I thought that would be a close race. |
Sadly people in Ontario, more specifically it seems Aurora-Newmarket, ARE THAT STUPID.

I see people are scared of her. And you're dead wrong. I did not vote conservative.
I always voted for the best person in my riding, and never cared which political party the person I vote for represents. I vote for the person who will speak out on my behalf, who wants to make a change and do something for the region I live in. I didn't vote for her a year and a half ago, because she was new to the scene and inexperienced.
I'd never vote for a backbencher who sits on his ass, because he's a member of an admirable party.
Harper didn't give a rat's ass about her opinions and her ambitions, so it's her old party's fault she left, not hers.
You vote for party? You take that risk of party migration. You vote for a candidate, that person will still work for you. That is why it's the name that's in big bold letters on the ballot, and not the party.

well if you do some research and actually watch her debate you will realize quickly that she is far from the best candidate to do the job.
And make no mistake, she left because she was offered a cabinet position in a sitting government. If she really would have left on voter's behalves it would have been as an idependent or in a by-election. Not to a newly created cabinet post just for her. She manipulated the liberals and the voters by exchanging her affiliation and saving the government from defeat for favours and power.
If you believe otherwise i have prime swampland in florida for you to buy.

well like jayx1 said, she is far from the best in this riding. You're voting for her because she is speaking out on your's and the regions behalf, but what has she spoken out about, what is she planning on changing here? I'm asking because i dont know, but you seem to have already made your mind up so she must have some plans that im not aware of.
You didnt' vote for her last year cause she was inexperienced, i'll let you in on a little secret....shes still is, she has no idea how to debate or even answer most basic questions about her party. It sounds like shes trying harder to not screw up than say anything important.
and i do vote for the party, because i really can't remember the last time a federal mp made a difference or changed something in this riding. In federal election, i vote based on federal issues, provincial i vote based on provincial issues, not for what they are going to do in the region. I can't believe you're blind enough to think stronach is doing all this for you and your region, its blatently obvious shes got herself in mind only.
