well you are entitled to your own interpretation of what a filler track is, but to me a filler track is basically a track that you use in your set because you need to fill a spot...something that really isn't that great, but is good enough to play inbetween good songs.
and everyone's definition is going to be different because i think it varies a lot based on someone's taste.
for example:
John Digweed Live @ Global Gathering
01. Bedrock - Santiago
02. John Dalback - Prankster
03. El Presidente - Without You (Infusion 117 Stomping Dub)
04. DJ Phunk - Phunky
05. Bono - Let's Go
06. Gutterstylz - Dirtbox
07. Tronic Inc - Beloved
08. Pryda - Aftermath
09. Kisses From Venice - I Don't Know
now in this set IMO, i don't see anything filler tracks at all...every track is good and it flows very nice. as opposed to just playing tunes for the sake of playing them like you might get on ASOT or whatever... |
zip it, sasha & digweed live off filler house tracks, then throw something good in, thats what makes them really good, and where they got their "progressive" name from. throw a filler, build, throw a filler, build...
Setting up 1 track for another... They love to play fillers then drop something proggy, or trancy.
Santiago->prankster..without you & DJ Phunk - Phunky (filler house)... Let's go->dirtbox...Tronic Inc - Beloved (filler house))... Pryda - Aftermath
