btw, warranty is against *defect*...not wear.
the problem with a wear item that carries some sort of defect warranty is that the onus generally falls upon the owner to demonstrate that it was a defect, not wear (tranny, brakes, tires, etc).
unless there is a published service bulletin or recall on D!abolic's part, Nissan will simply state that it's not defective and not covered. How will he prove otherwise?
