Looks a bit on the experimental/IDM side, does he play any of this stuff in his sets or is this more of a conceptual/arty mixed CD? I know he spins and produces/remixes mostly progressive, i've been into some of his productions and remixes for many years, but not that familiar with him as a DJ.

Holden hasn't produced "progressive" since he left silverplanet Because it wasn't what he wanted to do.

Anyway, the tracklist represents stuff he plays in his recent sets as well as a few of his all time classics.

Final cover art:

Very cool cover.

Look foirward to hearing this, and by the tracklist, it should not disappoint.

This mix-compilation looks very promising: however, I don't want to keep my expectations too high. Balance 005 was a mix CD in a league of its own, you can't compare it to many other mix compilations. It's simply one of the all-time greatest electronica compilations, period. I'm sure At the Controls will be a very promising CD nonetheless, but I'm not going to compare it to Balance.

Well it looks like its gonna be very different, music wise than balance 005. But I trust James' taste as well as skills at putting together such a CD, and hoping that he smoked alot of green while making it, I think it wll be good...

Cant wait to hear this though, specially after reading the interview on progsounds.

should be really good.

Why ? I thought that was a weak release by him personally.

This looks much nicer.
