Our French friends do a terrific lager.

I used to love that beer, before I spent practically every day of high school drinking it when I was in France. lol

I never get why Americans like Heineken so much - to us Brits its piss water.

Other good beers people should try before they die :

Fullers London Pride (Bitter but oh so good) ....Public warning - enjoying too much makes you fat!!
Wandsworth 6X
Kingfisher (Only if you are having a Curry though)
Becks

thats all I can think of - It's 7am - Im not feeling too alcoholic yet

Is there more Japanese beers other than Kirin and Asahi?

All you need to know is 'nama bi-ru'. That'll get you some good Japanese draft beer. Like the others mentioned, I know of Kirin, Asahi, Sapporo, Yebisu, and another one is Suntory. Nama bi-ru will most likely get you one of those (Kirin is my favorite). And a light beer is good when you're eating cause you tend to drink a few.

Now if I want a really good beer I goto the irish pub or the "beer restaurant"!

Rolling Rock is great on a hot day outside, with a slice of tangerine in it.

I agree the others suck...although when I'm just in the mood to get trashed, a 40oz of Mickey's is great!

Becks is really the only beer I like, but then again I'm way more into the harder side of alcohol.
