What a night.... really what a night... best club event I've been to I'm so glad I chose Armin over Sasha..

Got to 27th street vicinity around 1am... felt hungry so went to grab something to eat with a few friends. Waited in line about 15-20minutes and was in around 1:30am. Just with my luck, the person in front of me took the last place in the coat check and they refused to check anyone's coats in.. so we were like what the fuck and just went downstairs. I saw Remy play for about 5 minutes and then Armin came on... perfect timing really! We moved to the right side and danced there for about an hour... packed like sardines is the right expression I think... after that we went back and managed to convince them to check our coats in. Then went to get a drink and some guys behind me started fighting with drinks in their hands so I got a bit wet ....

We lounged on the balcony sofas until around 3am because I didn't dare to go back in that crazy dancefloor... then around 3am I went back and danced until around 4.. then just chilled on the balcony until 5am and bounced as I had my trance fix for the night

Overall a great party.. I saw Big Mike right in front of the DJ booth at the start.. I asked him whether he thinks Armin will play Control Freak he said sure :P The security wasnt coordinated too well.. they weren't managing the crowd too well just standing around like idiots telling people what they couldn't do.. I saw 2 fights which lasted for about 1 minute each :/ Waiting in line for a drink was about 10min... in total I think Crobar is a much more organized venue. I hope Armin won't play in Spirit again

Also, so glad he played Monday Bar and Control Freak.. highlights of the night for sure..

LOL! That's awesome! I've seen that guy at just about every big trance event in NYC that I can remember, at least going back to 2003.

Nice pics, Ali. Which train did you all come into Grand central on? I was on the train that got in at 9:41, but if you passed me you might not have recognized me as I was taking a pre-Armin nap, plus I was sitting in the last car on the train. I did hang around the grand central info booth for a bit though, but didn't see anyone.

IMO, i didnt have a problem with the people there last night, i bumped into people a few times and everyone was friendly and i thought the vibe was really good, esp after 4 when it cleared out and the die-hards were the only ones left.

i didnt notice an inordiante # of guido's either, or maybe im just used to seeing them when i go out... but then again im usually in my own world at the club anyway

It was super packed at spirit which really sucked. Somehow I gradually got pushed from the middle toward the back.

Remy wasn't doing it for me at all. As for Armin, for me it mediocre set at best. Wasn't a fan of track selection for the most part. Too many times there were just long periods of repetative baselines and not enough stuff with melodies. I was hoping he would play more melodic stuff like Ferry.

Great night. I got a table with some of my friends on the main floor so i stayed there pretty much the whole night, crowd wasn't really a factor for me. I've never seen it so packed so late, usually people start leaving around 4-5, but it was still packed around 6.
