A lot of things are just not right with this super bowl. English rock stars performing in the town of techno and motown? Notable "veteran" Tom Brady flipping the coin?

tis chicken broth, ye proclaim correctly sir!

i know. what's up with detroit and having the stones perform ? would have been better with aretha franklin , stevie wonder, eminem , and kid rock, since aretha and stevie represent motown , and kid and eminem represent detroit, so they will get the crowd rocking . you know everyone "still goes crazy" hearing bawitdaba . that song gets everyone wild, especially when kid screams , ' my name is kiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiddddddddddd ...'

for some reason i think Detroit is going to be overflowing with Steelers fans.

and I worked in Detroit, there are some really nice parts, (there are also A LOT of really shitty parts), but that was in the summer, and this is February.

Hahaha, neutral territory...good one! I live in the 'burgh and I know firsthand how the fans are. This Superbowl is going to be like a homegame for the Steelers.

except now it's gonna be deafening when they are on offense and vice versa with defense, so they're not used to those types of scenario, so if anything noise will work to their disadvantage

having said that...seeing that the seahawks have pretty much been ignored during media week...I wouldn't be surprised if they got a huge lead early and then have to fight off a steelers rally

Nou, just a lil 411

you aren't supposed to cheer for your team when they're on offense, b/c it makes it difficult for the lineman to hear the count, which leads to false start penalties.

and you are correct that it is loud in Quest Stadium and as a result opposing teams had more false starts there than anywhere else.

Speaking of the game...
I don't know how Seattle lost it w/ Hasselback as composed as he was. My opinion i sthat Shaun Alexander just didn't create enough w/ his legs, and Seattle got worn down by the physical play of the Steelers, cause they were flying high in the beginning of the game.

Also they managed the clock like high school junior varsity teams.

BTW, was it just me or did this game have a lot of pointless bullshit trash talking after the plays were over?? I can't remember if Superbowls are usually like this, or the players just felt like yappin.

And Jerome Bettis is my hero.

Second was the blocking call in the 4th, wtf, even John Madden was like "I didn't see any blocking!"

Third, and its debatable, the TD before the half from every angle looked like it never went in.

I will put this up as the worst called game, and to prove I am not biased because its my team, we should have gotten called on that fumble earlier, but they didn't.

I completely agree with you about the first offensive interference call. That was a touchdown, and it was complete BS that they ruled that interference. If they called those like that all the time Jerry Rice would never have caught a TD pass in the superbowl. (He used to shove off like crazy)

However I will disagree w/ you on the Roethlisberger TD, as it looked like it crossed the white stripe, and they had the best ref in the NFL look at it up close and personal on the video screen. Although I'm sure Seattle's coach disagrees. Boy did he look PISSED at halftime.

And how about the umpire diving into the pile on that one play?! I've never seen a ref get that physical before.

yah, it was just a block.

You can't go a football game w/o an incorrect holding call though.

I want robot ref's.
