Yeah, I totally hear ya on this one. I definately get the warmth, I just have always preferred the sound of a digital path.

Here is the thing though, the DJM 1000 and DJM 800 have the same audio bus now, meaning they should sound exactly the same. With that I think the 1000 is way overpriced now. With the CDJ1000's a Powerbook all hooked up digitally through a DJM-800 I will have everything I ever could of dreamed about. So, I am so happy about Pioneer making this mixer.

1499.99 (djdeals) is the lowest i found the price anywhere. i wonder how the demand will be for it upon release? also anything new always costs a arm and a leg. i'll post up a full review on the sound and the effects once i get it. still need 500 more
