I wasn't going there. If you go back and actualy read what was being said you'd be a little more informed and less like someone who's come in on the back end of a conversation.

I was illustrating what Americans do in their free time. If I could have shown some non-war protests I would but guess what we're in the middle of a war and I don't see you signing up to ship off into the desert.

The mans' assumptions were that Americans are sitting idly by watching their rights being taken away in one form or another. Then I get a comment like yours that was unwarranted.

You summed that up pretty good. But why vote? If you know they're both retarded why not make your own choice to not vote.

What would happen if no one voted?

Because I hate people who don't vote. It's your fucking right to vote, and you should use your rights. If you don't want to vote move to a socialist country where your vote doesn't even matter.

We had to pick the lesser of two evils, wouldn't you agree, dude?

more reasons why australian political system > the US.

1) compulsory voting

2) you vote for a party, not 1 person. thus, if your leader led an attack on a country that proved bullshit, and your popularity was languishing and most constituents wanted you gone, your party could remove you & change policies without waiting another 4 years. nice!

You also have freedom of speech should you decide to exercise that right. You have the right to be a nice person or a jerk. If people don't want to vote that is their problem. Just because you have rights and do not use them doesn't make you any less of an American or person. Just like how you hate people that don't vote, you're also exercising your rights. This is where the Liberty porton of the Declaration of Independence and the First, Ninth and Tenth Amendments to the Constitution are exerised for your benefit.

Besides with electronic voting where does your vote matter?

Where did you get these "credible" source quotes from? I doubt their authenticity.

BTW: Do you support the WHOLE Constitution then? Even the right to bear arms, which was put in place to allow us the chance to over-throw our government by force if necessary?

All this ranting on and on about precious rights and the Constitution, but in my experience, most liberals in this country are only too ready to give up one of their most important and critical ones; The right to defend themselves from an oppressive government should things ever REALLY get bad....dumb-ass hypocrites.

Why not this topic? It's a MAJOR part of the Constitution, and it was a favorite of the Framer's who wrote it. It's one of our "rights" that too many are so quick to discount, yet one that the framers considered vital given history and oppression.

And if you knew ANYTHING about armed resistance and history, both recent and distant, you'd know that MANY a lightly armed guerilla force has been able to fend-off the total domination by a fully equiped military.

This "Rising up" that is being spoken of...do you think your posts on a message board or your simple vocalizing your discontent would ever be enough to stop a truly oppressive Government or Dictatorship? pffft, talk about ROFLMAO!

Hey, you know what... I heard this rumor that there is more than two candidates on the ballot when you vote...GASP! How could this slip by us!

Hey if anyone did ever consider the third party then maybe we can get both of these shit parties to change their ways. Don't like the two top candidates? Vote for the third party. The lack of money it has at least guarantees it will be less corrupt than the other two.

Yes, wholeheartedly, I support it. Although sedition is a powerful word which is what you're implying I should support but don't.

I agree with you there.

Bitching is guaranteed free speech is it not?

You just bitched didn't you? Then why say "people who don't vote have no right to bitch"?

You make it a mandate for people to vote based on rights but you're so willing to eliminate their right to free speech.

America America!! Is it beautiful? America America!

Yes, it is beautiful because the real power behind the scene outsmarted communinists all forms of government and enemies in and out of the borders. They have pacifide all Americans and more than half the world because everywhere you go(or at least most places) you will see Coca cola.

This political bullshit is incredibly stupid. All words but no action is what they want us to do and it is what the American people do. Things will never change unless blood is shed. And that asking for Americans to do against their government is a hard thing to ask since our government has given us our "freedom".
