Myspace is stupid stupid stupid.
I certainly do think its a good idea. But, i guess it just works out poorly.
I was looking at Magda's, and noticed some DJ spamming, lol. When there is an opportunity, people will advertise as much as possible.
The Microsoft version is a good idea. Works well because people on your list can see when you update it. Also, I like the idea that people actually respond to what you write(blog), rather than just leaving a random message.

I like the MSN Spaces as well - way more visually pleasing.
I don't get the big deal with myspace...and don't want to sign up either. I'll just be another thing I get hooked on.

Agreed;
MySpace, to quote a man wiser than I, has become 'a gigantic circlejerk' (bear in mind I'm paraphrasing).
Mind you, I whored myself out quite a bit on mine, but I *do* try to keep up with as many people as possible, and I don't like the whole 'Put me in your Top 8', etc etc Bullshit.. That just comes off really ungenuine.
So I keep my Top 8 as people I actually talk to often / close friends / the like.

And I would like to say for the record that I know each and every person on my friend's list and have met them all in person before myspace add. Just one way to keep track of a multi-state, multi-country group of friends.....
I have a friendster.com account that has all of my friends from college on it. I think both sites are amazing - I love being able to find out what people are up to all over the world by going to one location and leafing through their profile. Sometimes, phone calls aren't an option but thank goodness for the internet!
