Where's the bollywood thread? I'd be curious to see what films are quoted as being good in that thread. Personally, the only Indian films I've seen that I thought were good were Salaam Bombay and Born Into Brothels.

As for American films being sucky ... yea a lot are. At the same time I doubt you're seeing all the potentially sucky foreign films with the same frequency as the American films. You're less likely to see a foreign film that did poorly in its host country or has terrible reviews whereas hollywood is much more effective at exporting shit.
