Its fucking hard, obviously he'd practiced it a shitload prior, but its still pretty impressive non the less. no top trace dj could do shit like that.

The reason eddie doesn't do as much shit as he used to, is cause hes playin a lot more trance than he used to. He's always been more of a techno dj and trown in some trance tracks. From what i've seen lately its a hell of a lot more trance which is too bad. Anyways effects, espically scratching, sounds like absolute shit over trance. Techno is a lot easier and sounds a lot better doing tricks/effects over. And hes a pretty good scratcher too, he started out spinning rap and learning to scratch before moving into tech/trance

yea hes hit and miss, from what i've seen/heard, the more techno he plays the better he is, if u see him mainly playin trance, its not gonna be anything special. Either way though hes definately worth checkin out.

^^^^^ what this guy said, techno suits him a lot better, ive seen him play an awsome techno set with hardly any tunes i recognised, yet so many trance sets where hes just banging out 'big timer' tracks that just ruin it.
max

The next trick you should learn is how to spell

As for Eddie, as long as he rocks it, who really cares? But he was better 3-4 years ago when he played more hard techno at the start of his sets.

Lol - he looped the build-up over and over for about a minute and a half when I saw him at Gatecrasher

i never said i knew how to spell
additionally, although vanishing is a common magic trick, you would be hard pressed to find any civilized nation that considers spelling to be a trick
In the middle east where literacy rates are down, maybe, but that's a stretch dont you think?

It's not exclusive to turntables though. You can beatmatch with CDJs or even MP3s and the only difference is that you aren't handling the record with your fingers to correct it. 99% of the skill of beatmatching is being able to listen to two seperate rhythms and distinguish which is going faster by how much. It's a mental trick.

AND I SAID IT PROLLY ISN'T TRUE BUT I HAVE HEARD.

Never said it was gospel, just voiced it incase there was any element of truth in. For interesting discussion.
