This is an unfortunate trajedy for us all but must learn to deal with this and move on. This could happen anywhere at anytime, not just at a club. We could have an instance where one person shoots another at a dark alley or at the otehr extreme a couple shots fired at a huge crowd inside 1015. Just pray that you're not at the wrong place at the wrong time. |
Praying does not help much, it's about risk management. I really would not mind walking through a metal detector (the airport, i.e. door frame, type) when entering a club. It is clearly for my protection and reduces the risk of guns in the club significantly, since people would have to resort to ceramic guns, bullets and knives.
I walked inside without being searched, which I appreciated since I could really care less for being searched manually, especially after being violated at Exit (NYC) before.
I understand that the cost of metal detectors is likely high (especially the door frame kind) and therefore understand that no club I have ever been to employs these.
This was a quite tragic event, but from what I can tell, it was handled well by the staff.

Well, clubs all over LA have the door metal detectors. Most I've been to, actually
