After seeing The Merchant of Venice, I have to say Pacino is a better actor than De Niro. De Niro has been in more movies I like than Pacino, but Pacino’s characters in his movies are more believable. Damn that’s tough though, thinking back to Deer Hunter, Heat, Ronin, Casino and Goodfellas. Meh, will still give it to Pacino for being a better actor.

hands down DeNiro....
3 roles that stand out for me of DeNiro's:
1. his portrayal of Al Capone in the Untouchables...def his most under rated
2. Leonard Lowe in Awakenings
3. Max Cadey in Cape Fear
He played those roles perfectly that i couldn't think of anyone who would be able to have taken on those roles

Personally I like De Niro better, but Pacino is in Scarecrow with Gene Hackman, and that film is hands down, his finest performance in cinema.

Yeah I forgot about this one, De Niro was excellent in it. He would be my choice....... I mean, have you seen Frankie & Johnny? That was one crap film. Though De Niro has had a few crap ones too especially those Analyse That/This/Those/Them ones. I don't think either actor can do comedy that well tbh. But seeing both at their peak, I'd go with De Niro.
