Remember Saddam Hussein was the President of Iraq and not Prime Minister.
"Again"?
I suggest that you do some actual studying before opening your mouth on the issue of Iraq again. You're hardly convincing. Maybe you could start here. The money quote:
quote:
The president serves in a largely figurehead capacity, with few powers. The Prime Minister of Iraq holds most of the actual executive authority and is required to appoint a cabinet. All three were appointed in April 2005 after elections which saw political differences papered over by ethnic unity (and inter-ethnic divisions).
While you're at it, you might care to address the other issues I have been raising, such as the insane amount of Iraqis targeted by the "freedom fighters", which parties were denied the right to run in the elections, and the uncomfortable issue of the Saddam Tapes, which seem to contradict your claims of Iraq being a society of "peace" where people lived "normal lives".
I'm not holding my breath, though.

I wish the war was more bloodier. Yeah so what about the videos? The Iraqis have no chance against the marines. If we withdraw it doesnt matter. We will win anyways just wait like 50yrs and Iraq will be like Vietnam-KFC's everywhere.

Wow.
We live in a country that is fighting terrorism/extremism and you have the gaul to sit there at your keyboard with the freedom provided by those fighting and call us cowards...
At least we understand why we support our soldiers and not ridicule them.
And yes, I'm talking about Canadian soldiers.
But there are no Canadians soldiers in Iraq?

Ya those are bad, but its a war and nothing is good in war. You cant justify UK bombing entire Berlin in WW2, you cant justify them blasting bombs everywhere. US brought this war to this country and its people. The point I want to make is that; when you want rape a country and its people for your own greed and personal vengance; than dont label the whole country a terrorist country and all people fighting the war terrorists. When your people kill them they are terrorists, and when they kill you its bad and sad. Dont label it a 'War on Terror' and invade Iraq/Iran. Because its not a war on terror and they are no terrorist.
Hey threadstarter, where are the more vedios you promised?

Fighting terrorism and extremism??? I think theyve REINFORCED terrorism and made iraq... specifically... a more EXTREMIST nation with a civil war brewing. Iran indirectly controls Iraq now.. GOOD JOB YANKS!!! YOU FUCKED UP AGAIN!

So how many bombs are going off in Canada/U.S. again since Iraq was liberated from Saddam?
While true, they are in a period of instability but let's not kid ourselves, that problem already existed but was snuffed by Saddam and his henchmen.
This needs to be played out and to say it wasn't expected would be very shortsighted indeed.
I'd like to see the Canadians get a little more involved as they tend to gel with the locals a little better than our American counterparts (no offence to our Americans brothers )

our soldiers should be there for peace keeping only, there is no reason for us to fight for the American cause.
I will tell you why Americans are pussies. They bomb the battlefield first with aircraft making the enemny obsolute.

Pointless - no. The rationale behind it is a simple and just one - hunt down and destroy those who attacked us and our allies. Work together with our international allies to help dry them out financially and halt potential terrorist recruiting.
However, the difference between that basic rationale and this Administration's bumbling and ineptitude in doing exactly that is a world apart.
