It's not a big deal. Anyone with half a shred of common sense will think you're a wise individual for wearing them, rather than some weird dude with plastic nipples poking out of his ears. Anyone who considers you to be the latter is neither worth associating with, or worth worrying about.

Hey...

My understanding is that tinnitus is caused primarily by two things:

a) Excessive wax.
b) Inner ear problems.

For whoever reads things, hopefuly you don't scare yourself immediately into thinking its an inner ear problem.

You can easily use Waxsol, although if its embedded deep in (and has hardened) you have to go to a doctor, who puts a large syringe into your ear to remove the blockage (I think he either uses hot water or surfactant formula)

As for the inner ear problems, I won't comment on that but to say there's medications, surgery and a possible hearing aid options.

Well, I definately have excessive wax

But still, I use Q-Tips all the time and occasionally use hydrogen peroxide. Could it still be a problem?

If they're bugging you when you mix, then why not save up for a pair of the custom fitted ones?

I know they're expensive, but if you're a serious enough DJ to be playing regularly in clubs, it means that you are able to afford at least your own pair of technics and a healthy supply of black crack (vinyl). Saving up a few hundred bucks is worth it to protect your ears. Like you guys don't spend twice that much on hookers and blow every weekend anyways

i remember when i had an ear infection when i was around 5. i heard a constant ringing in my ears, and it scard the hell out of me, so for several hours, i held my hands over my ears, and it would stop, unless i let go.
