I don't know how else to put this. Percussion contributes nothing to key, whether its a human ear or a computer that's analysing it.

what about this analogy. instead of a 2+2 it's a large complex equation with lots of variables, including lots of those zeros. then when you go to calculate it, you don't find it in the original equation form but in something else you can't decipher completely.

i'm guessing it goes more or less around these lines. very interested in how these apps actually work, as i can't even imagine what kind of algorithm would be able to get those keys with precision.
