Hehe you should go next time you are in CO.

It's a cool little town with club soda flowing out of the ground.

If you have some spirits you'd be in business.

Clemson, South Carolina. The "university town" where I did my Masters. The small shops and pubs that you see in the picture is all that is to our little downtown

This shot is taken from Wiki Commons.

Here's another pic. This is taken by me.

Kernersville, North Carolina, population: 20,000

quote:
The Town of Kernersville is rich with
history. In 1756, Caleb Story received a
land grant from the Royal Colony of
Carolina. By 1760 the Cherokee Indians
and new settlers of the region were at war.
During that time Story sold his property to
one David Morrow. The story is told, as
represented in the Town’s seal, that four
barrels of rum were considered for the
transaction. Around 1771, William
Dobson, an Irish emigrant, bought
Morrow’s property together with an inn
and store at the present intersection of
Main and Mountain Streets, which he
named Dobson’s Tavern. Interestingly
enough, President George Washington had
breakfast there during his Southern Tour
on June 2, 1791.
Dobson sold the property to a Gottlieb
Schober in 1813, who on November 14,
1817 sold it to Joseph Kërner, a German
immigrant who came to this country at 16
years of age to sell watches and clocks.

that story goes on, gets boring though, most interesting part is the sold for barrels of rum thing, and I guess that whole george washington thing, meh.

We like to call our town "K-vegas"

This is the entry to "downtown" , the main attraction of downtown is wal-mart (not kidding, http://www.urbandictionary.com/defi...rm=kernersville)

This is my back yard, and my pet duck, his name is Maverick, I live in front of a small lake

Big employers are tool and machinery type industries, and a couple large trucking companies are nearby. Dubbya bush visited the deere hitachi plant a couple years ago for some BS speech about pensions, thats a huge building tucked behind some woods that I didn't even know was there for the longest time. Dell computer just recently opened up a large plant here which is bringing alot of new people in. Historically tobacco and furniture have been the biggest sources of money in the area.

Seems to be a church here evere 100 yards, we in the center of a triangle of three larger cities (~150K ppl type cities), they are all about 20 minutes down the highway, between the three cities and kernersville there are maybe 1.5 million people. This area brought us people like Jay-Z and flava flave.

As far as partying goes its the same little group everywhere, we travel all across the state every weekend, mostly between charlotte, raleigh, and the towns surrounding kernersville, Kernersville is 100 miles between both areas. Personally I've always wanted to leave the south, I wouldn't reccomend coming here.
