Vinyl mode just because it's how I like to cue up my tracks.

Something about CDJ mode just feels "unnatural" to me for some reason.

cueing in vinyl mode is easy...you just hold the platter down at the point where you want to cue the song and hit the cue button...

I always cue the track from the first beat and release it from there when I am ready to mix in. There are exceptions for a few tracks but that is generally how I do it. Ya just gotta know the track that is playing live for when you wanna bring in track 2. But yeah, I love vinyl mode.

I started DJing years ago on 1210mk2's so when I moved across to 1000mk2 CDJ's I found it natually easy to mix on vinyl mode. Cue'ing tracks in vinyl mode on +6 felt easier for me so I carried on that way - plus I love the idea of being able to spin back tunes whilst mixing etc.

My mates use cdj +10 mode which is a pain when you're doing back to back sessions with them - when I asked why they dont use vinyl mode, they say that they started on CDJ mode.

I've noticed a few popular/famous dj's using cdj +10 mode - sometimes I think its a bit lazy as I think vinyl +6 is more harder to mix.. Am I being harsh on them by thinking like that? I donno.

Why make it harder to mix? If CDJ +10 is easier for them, that is the way to go. If Vinyl +6 is easier for you, that's also the way to go.

As long as the final result is what you wanted, why would it matter how you got to that result?
