With the exception of the rude, packed crowd, and the occasionaly elbow in the face and finger in the eyeball, I had a fantastic night. If you could overlook the insanely bad crowd and focus on the dirty beats provided, only then could you actually enjoy yourself.

Barato opened, i felt the beginning of his set went absolutely nowhere.... his trackselection was questionable at best in the first hour..... sade? LOL. Anyways, he did redeem himself in the last hour banging out some exclusive miami material, and some good chuggy bleepy shit. Had me groovin nicely in anticipation for the S-man.

Sanchez took to the decks, and immediately the energy in the room was brought to the next level. Unfortunately, so did the sound.... I dont know what it is about these headliners playing this room WAY too loud. When those extreme highs are cranked to decibals of insane amounts, and you feel your ear drums being fucked with, its not a good thing imo. Also, you'd think dj's would take the hint when during a build up, half the people in the club have their fingers in their ears! haha.

He played lots of good shit though, chuggy tribal, and lots of nice big room house material that had people going off even in the wee hours. You could tell the man totally enjoys delivering the goods, i dont recall many moments where he wasnt grinning ear to ear. He finished the night was some serious classics as well..... and yet again, a night at TiL is cut short by the staff JUST as it felt like the people mustered up enough energy to go a few more hours at least. A solid 200+ were still in the crowd when the lights came on @ 5:30..... why the place wouldn't stay open til at least six tells me that they really are still catering more to the 'come to be seen crowd - aka i just bought this gorgeous $700 shirt, love me.'

With all the ups and downs, goods and bads, sketchy and entertaining moments I had a fuckin blast. When Roger in in the house, it's a fuckin party.... and he really knows how to work a crowd. Sexy, dark, and driving house music all night long.

Thanks to Mr. Cassidy for the guestlist, and doing a fantastic job (yet again) at making sure your people are taken care of. Keep up the good work dude.

p.s. - i actually found the door staff to be quite friendly this time around..... but i think it was because my girlfriend was looking hot as fuck, and that scored me some 'cool points'. lol

i've been two times @ TIL ,never had any problems myself but last time i was there for Masiello they didn't let in the couple that was behind me in the line while @ the same time two dudes paid their way in. the bouncer said to the kid his shoes weren't 'apropiate'.

i'm afraid the next time it can be me the one they wouldn't let in. for that same reason last nigth i took my friends somewhere else.

Here's the thing people. You know what this club is about before you go, so either you accept it, and do what is needed to be 'granted' entry, or sit at home and post all day about how much you hate TiL.

While I agree that their consistancy with acceptance of style is COMPLETELY random, where one shirt is not fit for entry, but 'cool' running shoes are.... the system is obviously that of a flawed one. They focus on many of the material subjects that most of us 'party people' frown upon, but that is the way this club chooses to operate.

So, next time you plan on going to TiL, throw on your nicest outfit, make sure you are 21+, and find a pretty lady to accompany yourself, and chances are you will get in, and believe it or not, have a good time.

It's a shame when shit hits the fan, but you guys seriously cant be surprised when it does happen. Admit 'defeat', and take your business elsewhere..... don't let the bouncers high and mighty actions ruin your day (because ultimately, they would be happy if they knew it did).

It's too bad about the whole bouncer issue since it's a great venue and they've been getting some great talent. Someone should tell the owners/managers to read these forums - if they really care about their patrons they'd do something about it...

In the end though - Floorwhore's got a point - you can't let it get to you and don't let them ruin your night... it's not worth it.
