Only recently have I started to like more housey type tunes. I used to not really care for the funky beats and discoish sounds. I can't really explain my recent love for house music. I guess the easiest way to explain is to give you my 50 greatest reasons for loving house tunes:

I absolutely love those tunes. I guess in the past I wasn't listening to the good house stuff. Before anyone dismisses house music I suggest checking out some of the more quality tunes.

I'm not a house addict, where i listen to house all the time..but everyonce in a while, i'll play a Tenaglia set, or somthing like that,

its so good.

i don't know much about house but i really like it! deep, groove-inducing bass...funky danceable beat...mmmmmm

the only kind of house i don't like it is disco (i hate disco corny basslines and stupid vocals) but progressive and hardhouse ownZ!! (trance is still better though)

i TRULY think that progressive house should be categorized, but should rather be slowed down trance. I am a chicagoan and i LOVE house. My favorite subgenre of electronica, i love disco house and french house and filter house and funky house. I love techno after that. Trance is great, but it doesnt have soul to it!

I like progressive house...stuff like Satoshi Tomiie, G&D. 16b makes some pretty good stuff also. Downbeat house is good too. Most house is nice to chill to but I would rather listen to my trance

I've learned to hate house over the years
My reasoning isn't really legitimate. :- )
It's just taken over the dance scene here in
Vancouver and there are only two venues
I can go to - to get a taste of Trance
One of them is too far away and the one that I can go to
does play House as well.
So i'm stuck listening to real bad House.
Don't get me wrong - i've heard some
House songs that have absolutely blown me away
But I find most of it to be blah, blah, blah.

Make me snore some more...

Usually it's disco or funk house that does this to me
I guess I don't really know this genre well enough to establish between the different classifications, but most of what is played around here IS funk or disco crap.

The number one reason why I am not much into House is I find it lacks climaxes. I like sets that have peaks, and troughs. And I can't find it in House.

The reason why I love Prog. House over House is that Prog. DJs can really create a journey feel in a set, something I can't find in House.
