I understand that, lol.

I believe the article was referring to all the praise we give DJs for 'simply mixing together tracks'. We bow down, and praise them, when they are glorified juke boxes. How it became more about praising the DJ, and seeing the DJ, than listening to music. Thats what I gathered from the article.
