This is absolutely horrendous. Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, the Olsen twins, Nicole Richie... these are todays role models... the people who influence the world.

If it's like this now... what will it be like in 20 years? These girls are literally starving themsevles and I know first hand that a lot of them... A LOT... combine the mixture of coke and weight loss pills to lose the weight quick.

This shit better clear up before my kids are born. I don't want my daughter looking up to Paris Hilton or this poor girl...

Is it just me that thinks that it's uber ironic that someone who wants to be an actor (and be known) posts this ??

Aren't u (maybe) going to be "papparazied" one day ?

Aren't u (maybe) going to be the next "role-model"

Great way to shoot your profession in the foot !!

no one ever said that actors/singers had to be role-models for everyone...but to just do their jobs--that being TO ENTERTAIN/INSPIRE...it's wrong when (in this case) young girls make the choice to look up and imitate idiots like the ones mentioned/pictured above. someone should draw the line and be like 'um...you don't want to grow up like that'.

That's just the outcome of the 'express' society of today. Kids are gonna get role models either way. Previousely, it's always been their parents, but for the last few decades, parents haven't been around so much, and with the women's rights movement, now alot of families have both parents working. So the kid's role models become holliwood stars, and the parents lose control over them. Telling them "you don't want to grow up like that" won't make any difference. You need to give them better role models to begin with. Kids don't learn logically - their brains aren't that develloped yet. Instead they learn by copying everything they see.

Very true. I think its just luck that my role models are who they are, and i never got caught up in TV stuff much.
You're point about kids not having their parents around much to guide them is very true.

Then you must've gotten it from somewhere else. I was in a similar situation. I grew up without a father, so my mother was constantly working (and when she was at home she was managing paperwork and stuff). I basicly didn't have parents. I spent alot of time watching gory movies and playing violent video games, but to this day I've never been in a fight (other than two or three instances of self-defense). I'm extremely passive and diplomatic. Probably because I had some very non-violent friends at school, and they were a greater influence on me than those media ever were.
