Official BHP = 469 @ 6100RPM
Torque = 516Lb ft at 2650 rpm
POwer to weight = 279 BHP per tonne

In a recent UK test, the Porsche GT2, Aston Martin VAnquish, Ferrari Maranello, SL55 AMG and Lambo Murcielago were pitted together in a speed test. The ferrari is the slowest! IT took 61.2secs to get to 182mph, while every other car took at least 10secs less than that. THE sl55 AMH was the result of the day as it trounced all the other cars.

I loved the Maranello...till you gave me those stats. Thats pathetic...oh well. My dream cars are still the Impreza STi, Lancer Evo 7 and Audi RS4/6.

H22a - is this the stock v6? im guessing so, since there arent any modifications...looks pretty nice, i think it would be better if the looks had an actual function tho - downforce above 180mph...alt thats not likely even with a souped up engine in this model...late/

manufactures of these cars don't care about these cars, but if they want to join the FIA GT-series the model they used needed to be based on a streetversion of a car...

they also neede to produce at least 25 of these cars, with a maximum price of 1 million US dollars..

and since developing a car costs ALOT of money, especially a car you (manufacturer) don't want to produce..
YOU BUILT 25 FOR THE PRICE OF 1 MILLION DOLLARS

they are sure they are going to sell them to the 25 richest peeps in the world, so losing them is not the problem..
this way, the losses per car stay as low as possible.

the reason you never here again from these cars is that they all are standing in private museums (waaaaayyy to expensive if you crash one of the cars) and nobody sees them again

oh yeah: abt: W12 your dreamcar?? good thing, but for me it still remains a volkswagen (builder of 20 million golfs and 20 million beetles..massproducts) or 'car for normal peeps' (no offense :P )

greetz kolkiewolkie

(btw, my own dreamcar is the koenisegg CC from sweden, posted a pic of this thingy in a thread a couple mounds ago, don't feel like doin that again, just for the record)

You are right buddy...A VW is a VW through and through. Yes they are fun cars, but they have to rebrand that car in order for it to be taken seriously.

I am still a bit sore with VW since they keep building their cars more and more mainstream. The GTI as mentioned in another post is becoming more and more 'old man friendly' not what GTis have always stood for. And also, IMO they are becoming very very expensive given it is a 2 door Golf. Its an overweight hatchback...don't get me wrong I am liking the newer GTIs as a car...the price is extreme for what is being bought, I think. I as a consumer of a GTI would rather have VW cut the cost a bit and take out some of the BS options. Its 2 doors...I dont like power windows and door locks. Save that and give me a better designed exhaust system, a slightly more powerful rev happy engine, a more firm ride...something that will make me think I am driving a no-nonsense sporty car. My 2 cents.

BMW is hype. The M3 shown up top is grossly overpriced. Any one can buy a regular M3 bring it to a serious tuner and make it even faster and spend a third the price...IMO

The Benz posted above is a breath of fresh air to me since I really dislike Benzitos...I don't like the grilles, I don't go crazy for the overly round look and they just don't do it for me but the one posted here was damn nice. RS6 is KICK ASS...plain and simple Audis are my faves. S4 and TT especially! Notice my avatar...

I see a pattern here... all the $1 million-dollar supercars only sell for a couple of years, maybe 10 units or so, then you never hear about them again.

of course there are 64 F1 road cars on the road, and more total f1s if you count all the race cars made. i totally get your idea tho...i knew thats how GT1 cars are sold, i was just saying that the F1 WAS 1mil when new, since there are less than 100 produced, if you buy one now you will prolly have to pay more...but of course McClaren will rebuild it to your specifications...hehe late/
