worst performance i have ever seen from hawtin - and that includes his performance at HOB a few years a go. his set went nowhere, no energy and he even looked bored at times. i think i danced about 10 minutes total the entire night stuck by the wall by the garbage cans because i couldn't get away from the guidos on the dancefloor. most of the techno heads didn't go to richie b/c they were going to see them in detroit, so the crowd on the most part totally sucked ass. couldn't see richie at all because he was so high and away from the crowd and the fog machine didn't help the situation. i don't think richie does well when he's so far away from the crowd and crobar just wasn't the right venue for his music. the one good thing is that it seemed that richie was playing a lot of new track or at least tracks that i didn't recognize.
magda was on point - every time i've seen her the more and more i like her style. i can't remember if it was magda or another dj that played baby kate but that record sounded GREAT on the sound system.
the best thing about thursday night was seeing uwm, kid-m, seneca and others on my last night in chicago. thanks guys and gals for the memories.
