Release party has been canceled? Damn music politics.
Here is my take on this, Ferry can still do a 7-8 hours set to promote his album. I don't care about live PAs during the show. Last time, it was a live band playing all Ferry productions. That was great, but the rest were Ferry spining and lots of Live PAs. I am sorry, but most Live PAs are pre-recoreded. In other words, Live PAs or no Live PAs, it is all good.
Us Fans want to see Ferry Spins and spins great tracks. That's want we want. But now he cancelled, it is not a good decision at all.
How come Tiesto or PVD were and are number 1 DJs in the world, because they go everywhere promote their tracks, even though a lot of their production sounds horrible. This is how a great music writer to be even more sucessful.

I'm not sure who exactly cancelled the event and I'm sure Ferry didn't want his show cancelled and was probably just as dismayed as his fans for the cancellation.
My guess as to why the L.E.F. event was cancelled was because of not enough planning time and because of financial problems. The sponsors, who are the financial investors, care about the money. A lot of money was probably spent for this show. The event would've been kick-ass in return. If the project fails, they would want their money back. The amount of planning time wasn't enough, which is probably a good reason a few side acts, Simon le Bon and Guru, couldn't make the show. If they had more time in working this event, they probably would've been available. The side acts might have been an essential enough part of this project. This probably led to the cancellation of this event. It's only a guess.
I should probably give you guys an update on Ferry's message boards. Things have calmed down. But I'd still rather you guys stay off, perhaps till after the 26th. I'll let you know when it's okay to go on.

Why is this an issue that you need to tell us about? Is it because you think we're just going to go in to feed the flames. You writing that disclaimer every time makes me WANT to go on the Ferry board, just because you said we shouldn't. We all get that people are pissed because they made arrangements to fly/stay there, etc., but to even bring mention of this on TA and then state "STAY OFF THE FERRY CORSTEN.COM MESSAGEBOARDS" is just inviting problems.
Lastly, who are you and what makes you some representative for the Ferry forum? You sound like a parent talking to a 5 year-old.
