well it's hard to see groups with 2 or even 3 average teams and then just look at this group!

4 teams we all would be very happy to see and sadly 2 of them will go home - i predict that the experience will play an important role here
the team that will finish first will probably do it with only 5 or 6 points

i predict the van basten guys will reach the first place
argentina will be very close to lose their place in the quarter final and in the last round i predict that in different parts of the games each team will already see herself in the next round
but football is played 90 minutes and not less
so
holland first
argentina second in a group i won't wanna miss even one minute of watching!

Serbia & Montenegro vs. Uruguay later on tonight. I hope Petko gives Ivan Ergic the chance to play from start.

they still have a very interesting team... very solid in defense. Perhaps their attack is their weak side, I like them to go through in this group for some reason lol

Not risking a definite prediction on this group, here's my (long) thoughts:

Argentina had perhaps better squads in the past 2 world cups yet still are a major force, in a good day beat Brazil. Coming from a total disaster of a World Cup where they were too on the group of death, they'll be determined not to repeat that embarassement. Should go through.

It's very difficult for me to give a full opinion on Netherlands, haven't seen a match of them in a while. Their qualifying results and FIFA ranking indicate they're great, while looking at the team on paper and judging from the dutch TAs comments they're strong but not awesome. I think they may be over-hyped, but wish the best of luck to them.

Ivory come as arguably the strongest African team with a very good defence plus Didier Drogba, but I'm feeling this group might be a little bit too much for them. Might.

Serbia are under-rated, have some top players and should be very organized. However having tons of people tipping them as a possible surprise messes things up for me, usually surprises are SURPRISES, they come from nowhere.

The two FA's will split up after the World Cup. Former Yugoslav national team star Dejan Savicevic will lead the Montenegrin FA while Serbia will continue their work as usual.

The only thing that'll change playerwise is that players who's originally born in Montenegro/are Montenegrins, Will play for their national team as a result of the referendum. Serbia & Montenegro's World Cup squad reamins of 2 Montenegrin players, Lecce's striker Mirko Vucinic who got injured in a U-21 game against Germany in the Euro for Under 21 players, He will miss the World Cup anyways now. Also, Serbia & Montenegro's goalkeeper Dragoslav Jevric who has done such a good job so far, will probably be forced to play for Montenegro.

This leaves the Serbia squad without two players, one of them is much more important than the other, Dragoslav Jevric more important than Mirko Vucinic.

The U-21 National Team will also split up, Serbs are going to play for their country while the Montenegrin players will remain to their country. There's a difference in this category though, It could be so that the Montenegrin players wants to play for Serbia, and I think FIFA would approve that because they've been playing for the U-21 team including the other categories (U-19, U-17 and so on..)

Montenegro will have to become members of FIFA and UEFA before they start playing and qualifying for the big tournaments. Savicevic's goal is to be accepted by FIFA and UEFA so they could qualify for the World Cup 2010 in South Africa, He's said that this is their preliminary goal at the moment.

Serbia's logo is probably going to be changed now that they have split up, I hope it won't be the one we had a long time ago. It looks really old, and I hope they change it..
